Anton is a pure talent in every since of the word. His original artist name was Ybm an acronym for young beat master. He later added Capri but realized the simpler the name the better so he dropped the "BM" and simply goes by the name Y Capri. Anton credits his gifts to God and his family. His parents instilled in him at an early age the importance of keeping God and his education first and everything else just seems to work itself out. Anton also learned that everyone is given their own tools for life to overcome adversity. He believes once those tools are properly used along with hard work anything is possible. He has a great deal of respect for his parents for keeping him grounded. Anton's father realized his talent at 10 years old when he witnessed him creating melodies and beats from a small keyboard at home. Coming from a music background himself his father was impressed and decided to invest in Anton's talent. At age 13 Anton was creating tracks that were outstanding for his age. Although he started out like most aspiring producers in various home based studios his music quickly developed into a sound that deserved professional attention . He found himself recording in some of the most well known studios in Chicago. It was when he stumbled across Horse Drawn Productions where he was introduced to the owner Eric Yoder, Chicago musician and producer. There he met a full staff of musicians, technicians and engineers that would provide everything he needed to complete his first EP. This is where he found his first home for recording at age 15. The release date of his EP was January 2008. Almost immediately it received outstanding reviews from online listeners. It would be a hot new sound that can only be described as fresh and innovative. Anton's ability to combine hip hop, pop and club gives him his trademark style. Outside of commonly used sound effects, all of his productions are multi-instrumental without the aid of loops, patterns or samples which delivers a clean crisp sound that just about anyone would gravitate to. His productions are praised by aspiring artist throughout Chicago. His ratings on Jango.com and Indiecharts.com are testament to his ability to captivate the ear. His first week on Indiecharts.com in April, 2008 he ranked in the top 25 at # 22 by the indie panel out of 500,000 artist with his song Intro Fresh. In the summer of 2009 Anton met ultra talented engineer Mark Yoshizumi from Studio Chicago and put together a more developed piece of work in his song Stuck In The Mall. He was so critical of this project he sent the song to New York to be mastered by Tony Dawsey at MasterDisk, the same engineer who did the mastering for Jay Z's D.O.A Blueprint project and many other major artist. Little did he know his next project would be even more creative. His latest song is a club/dance track that has attracted listeners around the globe including the UK and Canada. Y Capri's most recent song "Can't Get Enough" was picked up in Chicago by a dj in his mixes on the weekends which aired on one of Chicago's most popular clear channel radio stations as well as college radio.
