About Us:
Rod Riley is a guitarist, composer,
producer and studio musician. He was
born in Virginia, where he picked up
the guitar at the young age of five.
He grew up playing in the family band
and made the move to Nashville, TN,
fresh out of high school where he was
fortunate enough to take the place of
Redd Volkart as lead guitarist for the
Don Kelley Band. Don Kelley has a
history of high caliber guitar players
such as Brent Mason, Johnny Hiland and
Sid Hudson. It was an honor for Rod to
be included amongst such greats. Rod
also played the Nashville Palace for a
number of years where he performed
with Randy Travis, Boxcar Willie,
Stella Parton, Ricky Van Shelton, Alan
Jackson, Jerry Springer, Del Reeves,
Little Jimmy Dickens, Lorrie Morgan,
LeAnn Rimes, Johnny Russell, Neil
McCoy, Vince Gill, Dolly Parton and
many more legendary artists. Rod has
had the opportunity to tour the United
States and Europe with Nashville
artists such as Shawn Camp, Joe
Nichols, Ricky Van Shelton, Vern
Gosdin, Tanya Tucker and Jeff Bates.
He has been a studio musician for more
than 20 years and has played guitar on
hundreds of recordings. He also worked
for Sundance Films and played at
Robert Redford's Sundance Film
Festival in Park City, Utah. Rod is
now part of the local Nashville scene
in the studio and playing showcase
events.
