Storytellers: Walk The Mile
When I was going through my divorce, I didn't want
my marriage to end. As I drove to sign my papers,
it felt like I was "Walking the Mile" to my death
sentence. The song is all about being accountable
and responsible for the events that led to the
dissolution of my marriage.
I pray that the message behind the song will hit
home and keep people thinking about the one they
are with and how important they should be to them.
When we choose others over our mates, the
relationship will crumble because we become
unreliable.
Storytellers: Summer's Gone
Summer's Gone was written about that summer
between Boy and Man. That vacation that you and
your friends go to the beach or wherever to blow
off steam have one last shot at immortality.
Hanging with friends, drinking some brews, having
a summer fling...or flings and realizing that we
have a lot of growing to do before we'd be good
for anyone.
Though I never had this experience because I
joined the Army after graduation; I was inspired
by all of the American Pie movies, and every other
comical movie that roasts that summer.
I hope you can reflect back with this tune and
just smile because 99% of everyone in the world
has done this.
A Life Once Lived
I wrote this song after my divorce when I was
looking back at events that had happened to me and
how I would be viewed as I transitioned from one
place to another.
My Grandfather served in the Navy during WW2 on a
hospital ship. I simply asked him where the
picture was taken and I can remember him going
back to that moment. Since he didn't talk, I was
so curious as to what happened. What did he see?
What did he do? Where in time was he?
The second verse is about the life and things I
have done in the warzone. It's a flashback to
hell and survival at all costs. I felt that in
war, to kill, you must hate. I forced myself to
hate the "enemy" and that made my job so much
easier.
The pure emotion and reverence behind this song is
to know that the men and women who serve our
country deserve a real and special place in
everyone who never have served, hearts. I am
never afraid to tell someone off when they
criticize the military members who are ordered to
deploy and make a blood bond to do everything to
make sure their friends come home. Even if that
bond means giving their lives for their fellow
soldiers.

Storytellers: What Gives
You the Right
I wrote this song back in 2005 while deployed to
the middle of Iraq. I remember watching John
Murtha and other senators arguing on national TV
how our plan is flawed. They looked like
incompetent pussies and were saying that the
mission was not important.
I was enraged by this because Americans have
servicemembers laying on beds sick, dying,
injured, shell shocked, mentally unstable and
broken. While they lay there, some proud, some
ashamed; they watch TV overseas and see these
people minimizing their accomplishments.
This song is about one man who just lays there and
wants to die instead of listening this until the
song explodes in the last chorus.
Remember that if you never served, you have no
opinion to taunt or confront a veteran of this war
about your beliefs because we probably don't want
to hear it.
Enjoy.

TELL EVERY ONE ABOUT
IMRadio -- Got to
thinking. What if each of
us independent musicians
told our family, friends,
fans and acquaintances
about IMRadio.com, how
besides the main
stations, it has stations
for each of the states
individually, 52
countries, and just about
every musical genre --
reaching any internet
connection around the
world. We could tell them
in person, on the
internet or at small or
large venues. Anyone we
tell would appreciate the
convenience of such good
music from independent
musicians on their
computer. It would be
such a good way to help
all of us reach even more
listeners. With IMRadio,
we aren't just waiting at
the mercy of some major
label to decide whether
or not they will let us
be heard around the
world. There are enough
of us that the outreach
could be exponential.
And, wouldn't it be a
great way to say 'thank
you' to Paddy and all of
the other fine folks who
have put IMRadio.com on
the world's musical map.
They have put in money,
time, energy and
dedication, and all they
have asked of us in
return is to upload our
music and profile. I am
sure that they have great
plans to publicize
IMRadio and bring it to
even more listeners. In
the meantime, through,
wouldn't it be great if
we could all help a
little by just taking a
little time each day to
tell family, friends,
fans and acquaintances
about IMRadio. It
wouldn't cost a dime,
just a little time.
Yours, in Musical
Solidarity, Paul.
We dig hearing your songs
in IMRadio's radio
rotation! Thanks for
supporting our new radio
station! Peace, Veronica
