Top in Blues at

I'm very excited to say that Surreal Memphis Blue went to No. 1 in the Blues genre, and at no. 2 - Big Belly Blues. They held that position all day Christmas Eve and all of Christmas day - at - there's a fair amount of competition there, so we are pretty pleased about this.

Today was a great day

I'm so very proud and happy to say that our CD has been getting really nice comments. Everyone who has bought a copy has asked for more!!! Now I call that really nice feedback. On the positive note still, I was delighted to hear that our Canadian distributer, Bent Music, has set up a page for the CD. I've been mailing out copies to any radio station that expresses an interest (no unsolicited mailouts!) so right now we out in Denmark, Spain, Croatia, Belgium, the U.S. of A., Australia, Japan and Canada .....pretty keen

We Got Runner Up Status!!!

Yay! Just got an email from The Song of the Year contest that Christmas Shopping Blues was awarded Runner Up status in the October contest.

Wow! Reviewed on Blues Again!

We just got a lovely review at a French site called Blues Again ion.html Here's a translation to English if you don't understand French: Although recorded in the studio, the atmosphere that emerges from this disc gives the impression of a club session. One where the cozy atmosphere makes you want to linger a long time. The general tone is casual. The blues is there, but depending on the track, it takes a jazzy tone, complemented with a touch of folk, echoes of bluegrass, rock and more exotic, pulsating rhythms . No wonder that when we know that before this joint venture each member of the group evolved into one or other of these worlds. The sound is clear, the atmosphere is warm, the voices are pleasant and you let yourself be lulled from one fun song to another. The band is comprised of Louise Peacock on vocals, Tony Quarrington on guitars, mandolin, percussion, and vocals, Tony Laviola on bass and background vocals and Terry Martell on drums. Surreal Memphis Blue signals the birth of the band, with Louise Peacock and Tony Laviola already working together since 2007, then joined by Tony Quarrington in January 2009, and in April 2009 they were joined by Terry Martell to enter the studio and record original 15 tracks, the production of which is well worth the final result.

Thanks Louise..well the collabs are new to me..Also done some backing vocals and harmonies for a few different artists on originals..It's as easy as just recording my vox here and sending them off down the internet line..haha..too easy, and so much fun..Was nerve wracking at first, but now I have the bug !!lol.. I'm so rapt that people actually listen to you stuff here at this site..Seems to be growing in numbers too :) It's very cool here :) Much love and thanks for being friends..Glad I met you here Louise..xo

You're very welcome :) and thank you for leaving us a comment and listening :)appreciate that very much..Being a Cover Band/Singer it's difficult to get any feedback, so it means a lot to know that you enjoyed.."To Sir With Love" is actually a collaboration we did over the internet with some friends of mine in the US..Lot of Fun doing that...That's mostly what I 've been doing the past few months..Our bands been pretty quite gig wise, But next year we'll kick in again, with a couple of member changes.. Well thanks again..Keep doing what you're doing..Love your stuff.. :)Oh, and have a Beautiful Christmas :) Jen ((*_*))
