About Us:
Born in Atlanta, GA., raised in
Newport "Bad Newz" News, VA., Jermaine
"Germ Yo Skeetie Maine" Grayson has
been putting it down since 1992 on the
Bad Newz Underground rap scene with
his childhood friends and rap crew
N.O.V.A. (apart of the Cru Thik/
Die-Nasty Raidaz movenent) . Germ was
a fixture in Bad Newz due to the
notoriety of N.O.V.A.'s two street
albums, "Dex Dynasty"and the Iron
Kurtain/Cru Thik compilation "Dynasty
Raidaz: The Gimmicks Ova", along with
a slew of features on many other
artist albums and mixtapes. After
losing a number of comrades, to the
grave and jail, doing a number of
juvenile, state, and federal
sentences, Germ relocated to Toledo
"The Glass City" OH. in 2005 to focus
on his family and solo music career.
With the help of Toledo bred
underground producer Keno Alums
(Alumenated Music), Germ released two
street albums; "The One and Only"
(2006) and "Go Hard or Go
Home"(2008)to critical street acclaim
on the underground hip hop scene. In
the recent years, after parting ways
with Alumenated Music, Germ has
released his latest mixtapes, "Hella
Hungry the mixtape volume one" and
"Fire Storm vol.1" which are currently
online on youtube,
reverbnation, facebook, and on twitter
@GrandstandGerm. His next project
titled "On The Corner Grind Music"
will be released in 2012, with the
single "Certified Bull$hit", (which is
available on itunes now). Along with
his LayGray Music business partner
Dave "D Lay" Latham, Germ Yo Skeetie
Maine is pushing forward, blazing
trails through the hip hop scene,
gaining supporters and fans
everywhere. Germ Yo Skeetie Maine is
Hip Hop's black plague!!!
On Tha Corner Grind Music is my interpretation of
street life placed to ghetto made beats. It's a
collection of very vivid descriptions (songs) of
many different occurences that can happen in any
inner city in America. This is exactly what I
offer every time I step in a recording booth with
intentions of handling my business. I've been
making this style of hip hop for as long as I can
remember being interested in becoming a rap
artist. Being raised during the Regan
Administration (the crack era) and taking to the
streets myself during the early 90's as a
teenager,I am giving my personal thoughts,
feelings, and experences to the public at large as
cautionary entertainment. I make no excuses for
the things I write or record, because I haven't
made any excuses for the mistakes or misdeeds I've
done in reality ( I've had to pay a few debts to
society, and I have lost almost all of my
childhood friends ). So when you listen to my
music don't expect it to be that of a role model,
or to uplift the world, because I can only do that
through my actions. Yall have to raise and be
parents to your own children people. If you are
angry with or against my stories/music, don't
listen to On Tha Corner Grind Music. Because I
refuse to apologize for me expressing what I and
others like myself (call us what you want to) have
been through (and still going through). But if you
want to take a trip through this sess pool we call
the streets without having to get wet, come on and
get yourselves some of this On Tha Corner Grind
Music!!!
Future Now thanks you for
your great music; and for
being a part of the ever
growing creative
community of independent
musicians who are taking
the opportunity, made
possible by IMRadio, to
reach 52 countries
throughout the world.
