A long time ago in a place faraway I had my own
dream, of making music MY way, of recording it as
authentically as I could, of taking the finished
product to the world and asking 'how do you like
me?'
Lot of water under lots of bridges as they say,
since then, and I just passed another few major
milestones on my journey.
Being Number One Blues Artist on Reverbnation for
almost 3 years since my first release is
incredible enough, being inducted into the USA
Blues Hall of Fame is huge, enormous, being the
first ever Indie Blues artist to 'open' the Jazz
Network Worldwide with a month long feature I will
not easily forget, having my own radio show on
Womens Radio now aired on 8 other networks in the
USA/UK & NZ is something that I'm proud
of..............but...........
Hitting the RootsMusicReport Blues Chart in the
USA at #5 now with my self produced first album In
The Making is a major, major milestone for me -
when I look down that chart and see the calibre
of the artists in there and realise I am the only
non-American artist among them: this feels good.
To realise that airplay put me there feels good.
And..........I finally got this album on CD Baby
which is another tiny milestone for me. The
glowing reviews on there for my work makes me glow
too! I love my music but how wonderful that others
love it too.

website in case you'd really like to listen to me
talk!!

Someone Else's Problem
I'm very proud indeed to be an Ambassador for the
UK Charity Act Against Injustice
which exists to fight the horror that is
Trafficking and Abuse of Children worldwide
and to bring awareness to everyone of the extent
of this multi million dollar business resulting in
the disappearance of 2.4 million children each
year.
I have only to think of one child in misery
somewhere in the world to be inspired to do more -
and more - and more - as much as I can do to help
promote the charity and maybe help raise funds for
their projects.
Earlier this year, I released a song 'Let There Be
Light' which I donated to Act Against Injustice
and which I'm pleased to say has raised funds
which I have specifically designated into the
'Safehouse Fund'. We are aiming to build
safehouses in various places around the world, the
first one in Nepal where we have helped to rescue
several children from slave labor.
In January 2012, there will be a live 'Awareness'
Concert in New York, with artists giving their
time to perform and we hope this will put more
money in the Safehouse Fund. In the Fall of 2012,
there will be another concert - on a much larger
scale - in Florida with some very well known stars
joining us to make this a very high profile event.
All very exciting.
Several people in radio in the USA and the UK are
kindly helping me to promote the work of AAI by
inviting me to be a guest on their shows - and to
preview a new song that I'm releasing for the
benefit of the charity.
The first such interview is with Diana Broomfield
of WDBQ on November 12 - Diana is a great
supporter of my music and also my spoken word and
I'm looking forward to speaking with her again.
She will play my new song:
'Someone Else's Problem' which I was inspired to
write simply by thinking of the plight of children
around the world.
Children in every country need our care; what
could be more important than a child? I am
honored to have the opportunity to try and help -
my mission is
to be The Voice of The Children - for the missing
children cannot speak for themselves.
Please help - you can download this track for only
1$ from my music store - all proceeds to the
children..........they need YOU!!

Being heard
I was asked by a music journalist last year when I
released my first ever single, what was it that I
wanted from putting myself and my music out into
the world. My answer was that I just
want to be heard.
I have been writing music forever - I started
playing piano at age 4 - and music is my life
my heart and soul - and blues is the genre that
speaks loudest to me
So to be here on IMRadio where the emphasis is
entirely on 'being heard' is just the best!
Thanks IMRadio!!
Tommie mystagemusic Featured
for September
I joined mystagemusic.com only about 10 days ago
after following a link given me by a very very
nice guitarist friend of mine.
One more site to get used to, one more site to
spend hours ( this is New Zealand here folks -
broadband is a figment of someone's imagination!)
uploading mp3s and a few pics, one more
site to browse around and see how many familiar
faces are there.
I think it's a great site actually; it
concentrates on the artist and the graphics are
great and
I like the idea of being able to display your
music in the 'sets' they have up there. Nice.
So, totally stunned to find that I am selected to
be one of the Featured Artists for September -
in fact I am the Featured Blues Artist for
September!!! Thankyou Mystagemusic!!!
The package/backup is very, very good in terms of
support and widgets and so on that
they provide for you to maximise this opportunity
- I like it a lot!
So hope you'll come and check me out and any of
you not on there, I would recommend
you join up.........
For myself, I feel quite proud that, having
finally got my dream out there in terms of
writing, playing, singing, arranging and producing
just a few of my songs, they touch
people enough for them to come back for more!
love

TommieBrewster feature blues
artist again on mystagemusic
OCTOBER
Only few short weeks ago I joined mystagemusic.com
and was
thrilled to be selected as the Featured Blues
Artist for September.
The support from the site is great and it’s
ongoing even after the
month is over.
They decided to run a vote for Featured Artists
and the response
I got from my friends and fellow musicians to this
was overwhelming
to be honest, both in the votes and the many
(nice!) comments they
left on my page, so much so that mystagemusic had
to close my
comments page!
The result was that they again selected me as
Featured Blues Artist
for another month, October, which is quite amazing
to me. So I
have to say a Big Big thankyou to everyone that
voted -
and you can if you wish carry on voting for me at
this link:
http://www.mystagemusic.com/mystage-blues/
just scroll down and hit the thumbs up icon.
The track chosen to play on that page is Break It
To Me Gently
which is a song that is not playing on my MySpace
player so
many of you won’t have heard this which is a bit
different –
love the reso guitar on it!
It’s playing here now……………..
Hey Paddy - thank you!!
The CD should be up on CD
Baby this week and then
I'll upload the other
tracks here.....maybe
you'd review it for me
when it's all in place?
thankyou - I'm just going
to upload another one
now......
Hi Tommie, I'm diggin'
