About Us:
Dave Boyes is a British born/Madrid
based singer/songwriter, who writes &
records his own compositions in his
home studio(well it..s actually a
corner of his lounge) as well as
gigging on the Madrid scene. Dave has
been writing his own tunes, since he
first went off travelling with his
guitar & harmonica. Although he first
learned to play guitar growing up from
his parents who both loved to sing &
play Bob Dylan & Beatles numbers among
many others. While travelling Dave had
a lot of time to play & the chance to
meet, play and share ideas with people
from all over the planet. This was a
defining period in his musical
development. The songs you can here on
this page are taken from his 2007
debut E.P. "Outside" which was
recently voted number 4 in "Top Demos"
by the Spanish music magazine
"Mondosonoro". He listens to & is
influenced by many musical styles
ranging from indie, rock, folk,
psychedelic & blues to bossa nova,
funk, jazz, electronic & world music.
From a singer/songwriter perspective,
Bob Dylan, Nick Drake, Neil Young and
Elliott Smith are a constant source of
inspiration. He is concerned about the
state of this planet & is therefore a
member of Greenpeace & tries to give
his support to other organisations
that help the underprivileged &
protect mother earth. For more
