Hi dear Martin, thanks for your lovely comment...that is so inspiring to hear! How are you? I am finally back here after a wonderful stream of rehearsals and performances for "The Vagina Dialogues" in the National Theatre, a great play supporting the fight against violence to women. I wrote the whole music score for it and performed it live on stage with the actresses. It went really well and we had a sold-out every night! Now I am preparing for our summer concerts, starting next Friday with 6 nights a week again, until the end of October. It is going wild but it is such a blessing to perform! I have also written a lot of new songs the past two months; if you have a chance, listen to "Heart of Australia", a song I wrote for all the wild horses of the world; and "Wild Rose", a song about love and friendship. Howdy Marty... Been awhile. Thank you for listening and for showing appreciation for my music. Thank you also for the kind words. "Hair Pullin' Blues" is more an expression of emotion than a piece of music... I had just lost my oldest Son and my Mother a matter of days apart from each other. I was beyond numb... I was angry, I was very frustrated. I picked up a guitar and began banging wildly on the strings with the narrow edge of the pick. This song does not amount to much in my own mind musically, but it is how I felt on that given day, and that is what Russ does, he plays what he feels. Peace
