About Us:
Keith and Ken Largent were raised in
the small community of Berlin in the
heart of Somerset County
Pennsylvania. They are the sons of
Kenneth and Shirley Largent of Berlin.
Having parents that were musically
inclined, the boys were introduced to
music at a very young age. As a
result they began singing and
performing at home before they were
old enough to attend elementary
school. Throughout their years in
school, both were active in band and
chorus programs, attending county,
district, regional, state band and
choral concerts. Both were recipients
of the Berlin Brothersvalley Schools
Most Valuable Player (MVP) award and
John Philip Sousa Award as well. They
found they possessed an innate musical
ability and talent that allowed them
to learn several different instruments
and play musical selections by ear.
This came in handy and throughout
their later years of high school, both
Keith and Ken, at different times,
performed publicly in several
different local bands. Not until
years later did these brothers bring
both their singing and instrumental
talents together as members of a
popular dance band Hit-N-Run.
Although they gained valuable
experience working the local music
scene, both had the desire to do more
with their talents. So they began to
write and record original music as the
Largent Brothers. After entering
several different competitions, they
won a vocal song writing contest held
in LaVale Maryland, and as their prize
received a free trip to Nashville and
a chance to appear and perform on the
TNN cable network show, "Nashville
Now" with Ralph Emery. The doorway
then opened in the direction of
country music, and with the blood
harmonies they possessed, the Largent
Brothers were able to land themselves
a recording contract with an
independent record label in Nashville
Tennessee. Local radio stations
including WVSC AM in Somerset, The
Mountain 96.5 FM in Johnstown, and
WFRB 105.3 FM in Frostburg showed
their support of the hometown
Nashville recording artists frequently
interviewing them and playing their
songs over the airwaves. Not only did
their singles receive local air play
but national air play as well on
approximately 2000 radio stations
across the United States. As they
became more popular, the Largent
Brothers and their original singles
landed them in the top 10 of the top
100 independent country label charts,
and their last release "Faithful To
Your Heart" captured the #2 spot.
Also in 1993 and 1994, the Largent
Brothers were nominated as duo
vocalists of the year and were
recognized at a Golden Tracker Awards
ceremony in Music City... The Largent
Brothers have one Nashville produced
studio cassette to their credit
entitled "High Voltage Man". But with
the recent release of their
self-titled CD compilation Home Studio
Collection "The Analog Years", you may
for the first time preview what other
material these boys have created over
the past 15 years. And if you're not
a fan of country music don't leave
just yet! These brothers are well
versed at other styles of music as
well. So to celebrate their resurgence
from musical hibernation this web site
was created. It is the place for new
fans to become acquainted with the
musical stylings of The Largent
Brothers, as well as the site
established fans can get their hands
on all of their original music. The
Largent Brothers are excited to
finally have something to offer their

this stuff collect dust way too long",
say the boys. So please browse the
