About Us:
Particle Son began in the desert of
California around November 1996.
Founding member Jared Scott began
writing instrumental
industrial/techno, and quickly
completed 2 albums, 'The Great
Pushover' (1997) and 'Unfiltered'
(1997)
Due to requests for live shows, Jared
brought aboard Dave Lash and Joe
Williamson to sing and play guitar.
Soon after, they completed their third
release, the 'It's No Use EP'(1998)
After a short spell of shows, Jared
moved to Southern Oregon and began to
persue other musical ventures. In
2000, Jared revived the Particle Son
project, But lacked a singer and
guitarist. Enter Nathan Malin
(guitars) and Vex March (vocals). With
a little work and lots of alcohol,
Particle Son released the "Bleeding
Pain EP" (2001).
In 2003, Particle Son started work on
a new album, and in 2004, 'Re:Version'
was released.
2006 saw the unfortunate loss of long
time friend and guitarist, Nathan
Malin. Soon after, Glitch106, from the
Invisible Records band Railer,
joined.
Between 2006 and 2007, Particle Son
played many shows and released a cover
of Skinny Puppy's 'Tormentor'.
:[particle_son]: has shared the stage
with major touring acts such as Prong,
Psyclon Nine, God Module, Abbey Vein,
SMP, and Dawn of Ashes
Due to various dysfunctions and
tribulations, 2008 saw the death of
the band only to be reborn, minus
Gl!tch 106, in late 2010 becoming a
duo of Jared and Vex after hammering
out their differences. Then for the
first time in 4 years :[particle_son]:
decided to add a new member as Sandi
Leeper was assigned the task of
keyboard abuse.
:[particle_son]: is currently
hammering away on their sophomore
album "Amerikan Genocide" with the
first single in over 6+ years for the
new track "Dead to Rights" being
available right now! Single is $5 and
comes with a limited edition sticker
never to be printed again!! please
note that single does not contain the
album artwork but CD top does contain
art!
