About Us:
The Fireflys are a British Alt-Rock
band that formed in Runcorn,
North-West England.
The Band's Current line up comprises
of:
Lee Wylding (vocals/guitar),
Stephen Roberts (Bass),
Andrea Packer (Drums).
The Fireflys early years comprised of
recording two self released demos
(Better To Burn Out volume 1 in 2007
and The Warning Bell 2008) and in 2009
"Better To Burn Out" (volume 2) was
given a full release on the bands own
label Canadia Records. Shortly after
the albums release, subsequent tour
and line-up change (Andie Packer
joined on Drums in October 2010),
"Better To Burn Out" reached Number 27
in the Amazon Download Chart,
garnering the album a minor success.
The band headed back into the studio
to record the Sophomore album
"Cathedral For Your Ashes" in 2011,
and released it through Canadia
Records February 2012. In June 2012
'Cathedral For Your Ashes' made it's
way up the Amazon Download Chart and
settled at Number 22, beating it's
predecessor ('Better To Burn Out').
It has also spent 10 weeks in the
Radio Caroline Album Chart.
The band entered the studio in April
2012 to start work on their 3rd, as
yet, untitled album.
