Russ first picked up a guitar at age 14. He took classical lessons and then proceded to develop his own unique style through the years on his own. He plays with a passion...Russ is a solo artist. His music is deeply rooted in the blues, yet has a sound all of its own... This unique sound resonates somewhere in between Blues and Jazz. Russ has a unique approach to the bass guitar, he makes it talk in his own way. His music is raw, his music is deep... He has been called prolific. His lyrics are simple, yet cut to the core... He is a very innovative, and original freeform guitarist and bassist. His music has been compared to artists ranging from Brian Eno to Johnny Cash...
