About Us:
I (Jim Signorile) started playing
guitar in 1967, playing mostly
acoustic folk and pop. My main
inspirations were Bob Dylan, Neil
Young, The Beatles & most 60's folk
and pop/rock music.
I then fell in love with Cream- and
most especially the incredible playing
of Eric Clapton. Though I still played
mostly acoustic folk music for a long
time, about 5 years ago I was bitten
by the by the Blues!
I then took up electric Blues with a
passion, and within a year was lead
guitarist of a re-formed 60's blues
band. I still love acoustic folk
music, but now my main passion is the
Blues!
Tired Starlings is a
cyber-collaboration between myself -
Jim Signorile (Teaneck, New Jersey,
USA) - and Half Blind Lefty (HBL- AKA
Hans) from the Netherlands.
Hans and I started playing and doing
cyber-collaborations over two years
ago, and since then most of my
collaborative work has been with Hans.
He is a Phenomenal Guitar player, with
the most beautiful and rich tone
imaginable, and it's been a true joy
to have been playing with him and I
hope we can continue to play together
for a long time to come!!
Jim is the lead and rhythm guitarist
and HBL (Hans) is a guitar player
similar in style to Jim, but with a
sound that is totally unique too.
I can't express in words how much all your support
and encouragement and kindness means to me! I was
knocked on my backside just to find I was on
IMRadio, and to read your kind, and very helpful,
comments just is incredible. I can't SAY it, so I
will PLAY it! I'm putting up music slowly to be
careful to only do and upload my best, but I'm
here a lot and always thinking of IMRadio when I
play or listen to the Blues (and really not only
the Blues)!
Seven Minute Blues (improv
solo) uploaded.
I just uploaded a seven minute slow Blues solo
(very creatively called "Seven Minute Blues" ),
improvised with a jazzy touch to it, and the lead
was all done in one take. It was just so much fun
that I had no idea how long I was playing and I
was really having so much fun! Jerry and Eric and
those other long jam improv players would
understand (although I claim no abilities even
close to theirs, just a love of Blues, and long
improvised jams & leads, and losing oneself
totally in the music!)! It really can be Heaven on
Earth (at least to the player!)

My deepest thanks to my
dear friend, college
roommate, and soul
brother David (dhbailey),
for his most kind review
of my song "Daddy". David
knew my Dad and Mom, and
I knew his as well, which
makes this all the more
precious to me. David and
I played guitar, and sang
folk songs for almost a
decade, and he is a
professional musician
that I am proud to call
my friend, and my
brother!
You're the best Emil! (no
explanation!)
From Elmo (ditto!)
I just uploaded a song
from me to my father, who
will have passed on two
years ago this August
30th (2010). It's simply
called "Daddy" because he
was my Daddy, and I will
always love him, and I
will also always miss him
(until we are re-united
again at that place he
got to first). SEE YOU
THERE DADDY!!! (Mommy
misses you SO much too
and loves you also as
well as I!)
Mueller and Bourke -
Thank you so very
much!...my greetings and
similar wishes for
success and greatness
with your music to you
too!! You certainly
deserve it! - Jim
OMG!! I was out most of
today and just found out
about this!!! I really
am blown away and thank
you ALL for your support.
I hope I can justify
your faith in me as an
artist - I know I sure
will try. And congrats to
those of you (I see
"Without Image" up there
as Featured as well and
I'm sure there are others
too!
Thank you all again!!!!

TELL EVERY ONE ABOUT
IMRadio -- Got to
thinking. What if each of
us independent musicians
told our family, friends,
fans and acquaintances
about IMRadio.com, how
besides the main
stations, it has stations
for each of the states
individually, 75
countries, and just about
every musical genre --
reaching any internet
connection around the
world. We could tell them
in person, on the
internet or at small or
large venues. Anyone we
tell would appreciate the
convenience of such good
music from independent
musicians on their
computer. It would be
such a good way to help
all of us reach even more
listeners. With IMRadio,
we aren't just waiting at
the mercy of some major
label to decide whether
or not they will let us
be heard around the
world. There are enough
of us that the outreach
could be exponential.
And, wouldn't it be a
great way to say 'thank
you' to Paddy and all of
the other fine folks who
have put IMRadio.com on
the world's musical map.
They have put in money,
time, energy and
dedication, and all they
have asked of us in
return is to upload our
music and profile. I am
sure that they have great
plans to publicize
IMRadio and bring it to
even more listeners. In
the meantime, though,
wouldn't it be great if
we could all help a
little by just taking a
little time each day to
tell family, friends,
fans and acquaintances
about IMRadio. It
wouldn't cost a dime,
just a little time.
Yours, in Musical
Solidarity, Paul.
