About Us:
The Thadeus Project sound is
experimental by design, featuring
multiple layers and a blending of
textures. But listen again and the
lyrical nature of much of their work
speaks more directly to the heart.
Progressive or art rock? Listen and
decide for yourself.
Some critics say progressive rock and
art rock are the same thing, but
others feel there are distinct
differences. Progressive rock is more
melodic and literary, while art rock
is more avant-garde in its use of
complex explorations. Many consider
art rock to be a subcategory of
progressive rock. However you define
it, Thadeus Project defines itself as
art rock, but when asked about their
musical influences many of the bands
they refer to are considered
progressive rock, such as Pink Floyd,
Jethro Tull, and YES.
Maybe Thadeus Project's sound is best
defined as redefined. They're no
fledglings on the scene here. They've
all been around the rock block a few
times, playing in various bands.
Sometimes together. Sometimes not.
Where they find themselves now is in a
period of joyous rediscovery. They
have maturity on their side, yet they
approach their music with the
exuberance of youth. Their years of
experience have given them an
appreciation of all types of music,
which fuels a desire to rediscover
their own talents. This combination
naturally leads them towards a style
of music that is progressive in nature
but has an artful quality that can't
be missed.
The Thadeus Project sound is most
definitely a collaborative adventure
in pleasures for the ear. The band
will surprise you with folk-like
lyrics on one song and blow you away
with a rocked-out instrumental on
another, the result of their diverse
musical experiences. They value what
each band member has to offer and
recognize that the whole is greater
than the sum of their parts. Perhaps
'synergy rock' is the best way to
define their sound.

RUN RABBIT RUN (new single
on independent music network
radio)
RUN RABBIT RUN (new single on independent music
network radio)
RUN RABBIT RUN!! a phrase that came to mind as i
looked back over my shoulder to find that life can
be a series of circles and stop signs. seems like
from when we are young we're programed by a system
of systems. not all of them are positive! ie,, if
your poor. you'll never amount to much. or if you
want to be a success you must do things this way!!
or simply be a nice person about 'this or that'',
don't make waves!!
then there's the 'get in this line '. ok,' now
get in that line'. anyone whose run into a 'glass
ceiling'. been stereotyped or told 'my way or the
highway'. should understand where i'm coming from
on this.
our finest gains in life are usually achieved when
we strike out from the pack. break away from the
'machine'. dare to be ourselves.
i wrote the lyrics after reflecting on my own
life. how time and again i found myself as a
'rabbit'. not the lion that i'd supposed i was.
the actor, not the director.
fear not my friends there always time to change
all that. we can and should, be true to ourselves.
ted and i recorded this song set up face to face
in the studio. there was no double tracking, no
special vocal takes. no additional instruments
added. this is LIVE, in the purest sense. ted
found it one nite while he was going threw archive
material.
he really wanted to keep it just the way it was.
so there it is.( i actually added one small
harmony part after re-listening to it, but left
the live lead vocal live.)
it has just been released to radio, and the
initial response has been good. we we're told by
some people in the biz how rare it is to hear such
a recording nowadays. somehow it seems all the
more fitting, that we left it as it was. it will
be released on our upcoming disc 'KEEPER OF
DREAMS'. due out shortly.
that's my story, and i'm sticking to it. 'run
rabbit or you'll never learn''. peace my friends.

Hi Greetings from

Great songs here as well.

TELL EVERY ONE ABOUT
IMRadio -- Got to
thinking. What if each of
us independent musicians
told our family, friends,
fans and acquaintances
about IMRadio.com, how
besides the main
stations, it has stations
for each of the states
individually, 75
countries, and just about
every musical genre --
reaching any internet
connection around the
world. We could tell them
in person, on the
internet or at small or
large venues. Anyone we
tell would appreciate the
convenience of such good
music from independent
musicians on their
computer. It would be
such a good way to help
all of us reach even more
listeners. With IMRadio,
we aren't just waiting at
the mercy of some major
label to decide whether
or not they will let us
be heard around the
world. There are enough
of us that the outreach
could be exponential.
And, wouldn't it be a
great way to say 'thank
you' to Paddy and all of
the other fine folks who
have put IMRadio.com on
the world's musical map.
They have put in money,
time, energy and
dedication, and all they
have asked of us in
return is to upload our
music and profile. I am
sure that they have great
plans to publicize
IMRadio and bring it to
even more listeners. In
the meantime, though,
wouldn't it be great if
we could all help a
little by just taking a
little time each day to
tell family, friends,
fans and acquaintances
about IMRadio. It
wouldn't cost a dime,
just a little time.
Yours, in Musical
Solidarity, Paul.
