My top priority is the Jazz Festival in Sicily that I've been asked to be Artistic Director of, The Salemi 2010 Jazz Festival This year our Headliners are the great Arturo Sandoval, Chuck Findley, Doug Webb, Amy Keys, and Pete Whyman! The festival dates are: September 2-5 2010 and the location is the Salemi City Square with a capacity of 2000. With 9 weeks to go, we could really use any publicity that we can get...............we're giving the most promising 18 and under Italian/Sicilian student of jazz a 1000 euro cash award, all-expense-paid trip to the festival, and an opportunity, on closing night Sunday September 5th, to 'sit-in' with Arturo and the other artists! We've also affiliated with a Raleigh N. Carolina organization(drumSTRONG) led by Scott Swimmer, who, through drum circles and music, internationally, help children in their recovery of cancer! So, great talent at the festival, good causes, do you think that you could make a little exception and 'squeeze' me in to your immediate interview schedule? We only have 9 weeks! Please help!
