Ambient/Indie/Blues/Rock

About Us:
Big Sky Blues Band is based out of Missoula, MT and blends the digital world with the analog world to make an ambient blues/rock sound that is better defined as a mind expanding adventure. A well defined sound that delves into a broad spectrum of sound scapes and tonal quality of a large ambient symphony with the edginess of the blues. The band originated in 1978, but remained nameless until 2007. Why this name? My current location is in the Big Sky Country of Montana.... Do you play live? Sometimes..... Would you sign a record contract with a major label? Possibly.... Band History: Allen Warren's blues roots stem from the road houses of Texas to the Mexico border towns. After relocating to Montana his music style expanded into the New Age sound of digital electronics and synthesizers. Ever searching for that perfect blend of the analog with the digital world to meld an atmosphere to carry the melodies of a crying guitar singing the blues. Your influences? My main influence in music has been music. From classical to heavy metal and all points in between. I started my journey into sound at a young age back in 1970. Since that time I have delved into a lot of different sounds and a lot of different instruments, but I always seem to fall back to just the acoustic guitar and a single voice for solace. My favorite all time album is "The Wall" by Pink Floyd. That has been an inspiration to me since the first time I ever heard it. It has all of the sounds that I like and it tells a story as well. Well written, well recorded and a breakthrough in the term "Concept Album" Second favorite is "2112" by Rush. Also a great concept album. I have no idea what makes me tune up my guitar to start writing a song or fire up my Digital Audio Workstation to start recording a concept floating around in my thoughts, but I am going to keep doing it as long as I possibly can. Equipment used: Guitars, Vocals, Synthesizers and every other musical instrument that works in shaping sound.

I created IMRadio to hear my songs, then all of you joined me here on IMRadio. Now let's make another concerted effort to bring our family, friends and fans to register here on IMRadio as Listeners to rate/review our songs and so they can hear our fellow IMRadio artists. peace, Paddy Noonan, IMRadio, Founder and Musician

TELL EVERY ONE ABOUT IMRadio -- Got to thinking. What if each of us independent musicians told our family, friends, fans and acquaintances about IMRadio.com, how besides the main station, it has stations for each of the states individually, 52 countries, and just about every musical genre -- reaching any internet connection around the world. We could tell them in person, on the internet or at small or large venues. Anyone we tell would appreciate the convenience of such good music from independent musicians on their computer. It would be such a good way to help all of us reach even more listeners. With IMRadio, we aren't just waiting at the mercy of some major label to decide whether or not they will let us be heard around the world. There are enough of us that the outreach could be exponential. And, wouldn't it be a great way to say 'thank you' to Paddy and all of the other fine folks who have put IMRadio.com on the world's musical map. They have put in money, time, energy and dedication, and all they have asked of us in return is to upload our music and profile. I am sure that they have great plans to publicize IMRadio and bring it to even more listeners. In the meantime, through, wouldn't it be great if we could all help a little by just taking a little time each day to tell family, friends, fans and acquaintances about IMRadio. It wouldn't cost a dime, just a little time. Yours, in Musical Solidarity, Paul.

“...From I had a dream, to keep hope alive, to yes we can, these days we'll survive, we will thrive - he won't leave the people behind: From a Bush Abomination to ‘ObamaNation,’ (soon) you can ask you can tell, take off the mask you can yell, from a bush abomination we take back our nation, Obama Nation, the American Nation...” Please give a listen to our new rock/reggae/folk song “ObamaNation.” If you like it, spread the word. Thanks. Peace. Paul from Future Now.

I was browsing your photos on your website, and was wondering if any of those Flathead shots were at Finley Point. Just curious. Flathead rules, by the way. (Doug)
